With
the decision of the Govt. of Karnataka to bifurcate Pre-University from
degree colleges in 2001, our Management decided to segregate PU from
LVD College, BRB College of Commerce and SSRG College for Women and
merge them into a single unit. It was at this point of time the Sukhani
family came forward to donate and thus the new PU College came to be
christened “Seth Rikhabchand Parasmal Sukhani PU College for Arts,
Commerce & Science”, a reputed institution, with a rich lineage
and coveted heritage ! The College has naturally inherited the supreme
qualities of all its mother Institutions. |

As
a result of this, within a short span of seven years, the college today
has spacious independent building with all modern amenities. |

account of Founder and the Samsthe : Founder Pandit Taranth, a multi-facetd personality- great visionary an ardent social reformer and a true humanitarial, founded Hamdard Primary School in the Year 1920. Since then the school is catering to the needs of all including poorest of the poor. With the steady andmarked growth the school has been eleveted to the status ofjunior college. |

PANDI
T TARANATH : A visionary, a creator, an achiever, an ardent social reformer, a great humanitarian, the late Pandit Taranath revolted against the repressive measures of the Nizam and quit the teacher’s post in protest and with the support of some like-minded friends founded Hamdard Primary School in 1920. This Primary School blossomed into a High School, and is now a Composite Junior College. To give shape to his vision in the field of education, a group of philanthropists of this area established the Raichur Education Society. |

TARANATH
SHIKSHANA SAMSTHE : Raichur Education Society was later christened Taranath Shikshana Samsthe as a mark of respect to the founder. Sri. Bhawarlal Somani was the First President and Sri.G.K.Rajpurohit was the Secretary. Sri. Soma Raman Gouda was the President during 1971-1987 Sri M. Nagppa took over as the secretary in 1971. During this period, BRB College of Commerce, SSRG Women’s College & SCAB Law College were established. |

The present President Sri. Parasmal
Sukhani took over in 1987 and since then several new courses, like M.Sc.,
B.B.M., B.C.A., P.G. Diploma in Fashion Design Technology and new subjects
like Computer Science, Microbiology, & Bio-Technology have been
introduced with a special focus on quality education. |

The Management, comprising of eminent
persons drawn from different walks of life is known for its committment,
dedication and transparency. Selfless and self-effacing members present
and past, have put their heart and soul to ensure that quality education
is imparted to the people of this area, the poor and needy in particular.
The General council has 27 members and each Institution is administered
by a Managing Committee. |
